The Battle of Algier - This Sunday in NoDa

Or in Jeff Jackson's won words:
"I wanted to let you know that I’m resurrecting the NODA Film Festival name to show THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS next Sunday at 4 pm at the Neighborhood Theater. It’s a one-off screening with the Light Factory and God City.
THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS is both a thought-provoking political film and a gripping action thriller. It’s not well known because it was suppressed in the years after its release. It was initially nominated for 3 Academy Awards. The Pentagon made it required viewing for their staff before the 2003 invasion of Iraq. It’s still timely and entertaining and something that needs to be seen on the big screen.
As always, this is a super-grassroots initiative"
